Victoria Skilled Visa Nomination Program Closing Soon – What You Need to Know (2024-25)

Victoria’s 2024–25 Skilled Visa Program is closing to new ROIs on 29 April 2025. Don’t miss your opportunity to apply!
If you are planning to migrate to Victoria, Australia through the skilled migration pathway, now is the time to act.
Victoria’s State Nominated Skilled Visa Program for the 2024-25 migration year is set to close new Registrations of Interest (ROI) at 4:00 PM AEST on Tuesday, 29 April 2025.
What You Should Know:
The Australian Government allocated 5,000 visa places to Victoria for this program year, which includes:
- 3,000 places for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) (190 Skilled Visa Victoria)
- 2,000 places for the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)
Due to high demand, the program has already received more ROIs than the available quota.
What Happens Next?
Although new ROIs will no longer be accepted after 29 April 2025, the Victorian Government will continue to assess and issue invitations from the pool of already submitted EOIs until all allocated places are filled.
Why This Matters:
If you’re an eligible skilled worker planning to migrate to Victoria, submitting an ROI before the deadline is crucial. The subclass 190 and 491 visas offer significant pathways toward permanent residency and a future in Australia.
