Corporate immigration advisory

Migration strategy should follow the workforce plan—not the other way around.

Employer-sponsored migration is a business process with legal consequences. The sponsorship, nomination and visa stages are separate, and the business carries ongoing obligations long after a visa is granted. We help employers select the right pathway, prepare decision-ready nominations, coordinate employee visas and build compliance systems that can scale.

Clear intent separation

Corporate migration and individual migration are different legal projects.

We have separated the website accordingly so an employer is not forced through applicant-focused content and a visa applicant is not given corporate compliance advice they do not control.

For employers

Corporate Migration focuses on the organisation and position.

  • Can the business sponsor?
  • Which visa pathway best fits the workforce need?
  • How should the position and market salary be evidenced?
  • Is labour market testing compliant?
  • Are labour agreements or DAMA needed?
  • What sponsor obligations and monitoring risks apply?
  • How should sponsored workers be retained long-term?

For visa applicants

Individual Migration focuses on the person and their visa eligibility.

  • Do I meet skills and work experience requirements?
  • What English, age or registration rules apply?
  • Can my family be included?
  • What is my PR pathway?
  • What if my nomination or visa is refused?

Employer FAQs

Corporate migration questions employers ask before they sponsor.

General information only. Employer sponsorship strategy depends on the business, role, location, candidate and current law.

What is corporate migration?
Corporate migration is employer-side immigration advice for organisations recruiting, transferring, sponsoring and retaining overseas talent. It includes sponsorship, nominations, labour agreements, global mobility, compliance and strategic workforce planning.
What is a Standard Business Sponsor?
A Standard Business Sponsor is a business approved by Home Affairs to sponsor workers under programs including the Skills in Demand visa (Subclass 482) and Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional visa (Subclass 494). Home Affairs currently states that approval generally lasts five years. Official guidance.
What is accredited sponsorship?
Accreditation is available to eligible Standard Business Sponsors that satisfy additional criteria. It can provide processing benefits and requires a strong compliance profile. Eligibility should be assessed against the current Home Affairs accreditation categories.
When should an employer consider a labour agreement?
Where genuine workforce needs cannot be met through standard skilled visa settings, a company-specific, industry, project or designated-area arrangement may be relevant. Labour agreements can provide access to occupations or concessions unavailable under standard programs.
Can you work directly with our HR or recruitment team?
Yes. Corporate migration is often most effective when visa strategy is integrated with recruitment, payroll, contracts, onboarding and workforce planning. We can provide matter-based or ongoing support.
What happens if Home Affairs or ABF audits our sponsorship?
Obtain legal advice early. Sponsors can face requests for documents, monitoring, compliance notices, infringement notices, cancellation or bars from future sponsorship. We can conduct proactive reviews and assist with formal investigations or notices.
Do you also act for the employee?
Depending on the engagement and conflict position, the firm can coordinate the employee visa component. The website separates employer and individual information because the legal criteria and commercial objectives are different.

Legal review: 25 September 2026. Primary sources include Department of Home Affairs employer sponsorship, sponsor obligations, labour agreement and sponsored visa guidance.
