Understanding ImmiAccount for Parent Visas

Before diving into the update, it’s essential to understand what ImmiAccount is. ImmiAccount is an online platform provided by the Department of Home Affairs in Australia. Key Changes for Parent Visa Applications

Mandatory ImmiAccount Registration: All paper-based parent visa applicants must now register for an ImmiAccount. This registration is crucial for tracking the progress of their visa application.
Online Status Updates: Applicants can now receive real-time updates on their visa application status through ImmiAccount. This change aims to reduce uncertainty and improve transparency in the application process.
Document Uploads: While the initial application is still paper-based, applicants can now upload additional documents online. This feature is particularly useful for submitting supplementary information without delay.

Improved Transparency

With real-time updates available online, applicants can now track their application status more efficiently. This transparency helps reduce anxiety and uncertainty during the waiting period.

Enhanced Communication

Having direct access to the Department of Home Affairs through ImmiAccount means applicants can quickly address any issues or provide additional information as requested.
